The WestendXFi sound is based on sympathetic resonance theory, which uses the walls of the room to amplify the sound vibrations. The Unbelievable is designed to be placed 20-25 cm (10″) from a flat wall or 50 cm (15″) from a corner, at waist level for a full WestendXFi Sound Imaging experience.
The speaker is designed to resonate sounds. You can use the felt pad (provided in the box) to stop excessive movement when volume is high. For extra grip, you may even put a rubber band under the felt pad.
We would like to underline that the vibration of the speaker body is an important feature in our technology. If you loose your felt pad, let us know and we’ll send you a new one.
There is a main switch at the bottom of the speaker. It disconnects the battery from the system for safety when eg. travelling. Turn the switch to the left to charge and to use battery power.
Turn the volume of your audio source all the way to maximum and adjust the volume on the speaker. Low volume from the audio source will yield to the speaker, not delivering sound as designed.
Yes, very much! The better the streaming quality, the better the sound. There are different streaming qualities available depending on the streaming service provider.
We prefer Tidal Masters as it reaches the full 1411 kbps (same as CD quality). When using WestendXFi products, the bottleneck of sound quality is always the quality of the incoming stream.
When you’d like to listen to your old CDs connect the player through an AUX cable to the speaker and you’ll enjoy the amazing CD quality!
- Try booting from the main switch at the bottom of the device.
- Turn the main switch to the left and try charging a longer time.
- If there’s still no luck, there might be a problem with the power adapter. In this case, please contact us and we’ll fix it for you!
Our device is suitable for an audio cord that has a narrower “neck” – like the ones you can use with your phone with a case on.
We have not limited our devices to stop playing if the power goes too high. This is why we have placed an analogue VU-meter in the front panel. This meter will show you when you exceed the performance.
If the meter constantly hits the right side, you have to turn the volume down in order to keep the sound quality at its best. If this doesn’t help, please contact us and we’ll have a look at it.
You can use an AUX cable to connect the devices to each other. Then connect wirelessly to one of the speakers and it will spread the sound to the other(s).
Always check with your airline. For safety, turn the main switch off when travelling.
